Hand lettering of the words "Kindness matters" in a bright modern style

Celebrating Kindness Through Lettering Art

This custom hand-lettered artwork was created to celebrate the simple but powerful message: kindness matters.

Kindness means treating others — and ourselves — with warmth, care, and good intention. It shapes how we interact with people and how we feel about ourselves. With so many of us being our own toughest critics, it’s time to be kind not just to others, but also inwardly.

From Sketch to Final Lettering

The piece began as a series of quick sketches, exploring letter shapes and flow. Afterwards, I refined the concept in Procreate, carefully constructing each letterform to feel cohesive and expressive.

Adding details and colour

Once the word “kindness” felt balanced, I added “matters” by hand and gave it a textured, ink-stamped look for contrast. I finished the artwork with bright watercolour shapes and organic patterns, bringing warmth and positivity to the final composition.
