My friend’s family are setting a wonderful example for celebrating a sustainable Christmas. They are getting living Christmas tree in a bucket from a nearby tree nursery since years. When the holidays are over, they plant their tree in the nearby forest. Christmas trees of several years are populating these woodlands now. The family keeps visiting their trees to make sure they are alright and keep adding a new member to their forest year after year.

This illustration with custom lettering was deeply inspired by my friend’s story. Lush texture evokes the feeling of winterly snowfall and softens the sharp cornered illustration and hand lettering. The lettering was printed and sent out as a Christmas card to family, friends and clients.
