Plant a forest – A sustainable christmas
My friend’s family are setting a wonderful exaple for celebrating a sustainable christmas. They are getting living christmas trees in a bucket from a nearby tree nursery since years. When the holidays are over, they plant their tree in the nearby forest. Christmas trees of several years are populating these woodlands now. The family keeps visiting their trees to make sure they are alright and keep adding a new member to their forest year after year.

Are you planning a sustainable christmas?
If you are planning to put up a tree this year, please keep it eco-friendly. Find a tree nursery near you and get a living tree. You will have positive ecological impact, by reducing the amount of wasted plants and adding new trees to a forest near you!

Illustration technique
This illustration was deeply inspired by my friend’s story. Lush texture evokes the feeling of winterly snowfall and softens the sharp cornered illustration and hand lettering.
