A seat unfolding with plop-effect

Meister Eder is a stool that unfolds from the floor as the tension of a hidden rubberband is released. The flat shape suddenly springs open and turns into a three dimensional shape. The stool stays flexible in one direction so that it can be folded up immediately. When turned to the other side, it becomes stable so the user can comfortably sit down on its surface.
